Grandma Gloria came to visit!

Gloria came down to see Whitney graduate and to do a little Christmas shopping! We had a nice visit and the kids enjoyed seeing their grandmother. Hopefully we will be able to take time out of our busy lifes this upcoming year and spend more time together.

Whitney DID IT!

So, I have a college graduate! Yes, I know I am getting OLD! Whit completed graduation on Friday Dec 19th from ASU! She did so with honors as well. Way to go Whit! I even cried, which made Kari laugh. As you know I am not one to cry and it caught my family off guard. I am not sure what it was, maybe the fact that I am very proud of her and for all she has done and all she stands for, or maybe the mere fact that it hit me that I am getting old and my life is flying by. I know the other day that Helen (Whitneys gradma), told me that Whitney is a great girl who is very smart, she wasn't talking school smart she was talking life smart. Whitney was giving her grandmother (who is almost 90) advise on shaping up and staying in the Rehab center she was in. Grandma Helen really listened to her and appreciated all she had to say and then commented on what a wonderful girl Whit is... I must say so myself. I am proud of the young person she is, for the great daughter she is, for the way she always stands up for what she believes in and for the wonderful daugter, sister, and soon to be mother that is is. We love you Whitit!

Shauns grandma was flown down to Mesa today and underwent some minor heart surgery. She had two blockages, one was 99% blocked and one was over 80% blocked. We spent the evening with her at the hospital. We wil be going back over there in the morning. She is one tuff lady.

Hadlee's birthday was AWESOME! We loved all being together and having Markee and Taryn my other two daughters around!

I am doing this MARKEE!!

So, I have told Markee for days that I was going to blog.... well here it is... my goal, to do this daily, or almost daily... the problem... I might just get addicted. Well, last week was quite exciting... Sherod ran in California at Footlocker West. He came home a bit disapointed after finishing 14th out of 160 runners. He said he just got out too slow at the begining of the race (5min) for the first mile, and he was hoping to go through it at 4:50, but he wasn't expecting all the congestion and it cost him... oh well he learned a great racing lesson.... secondly, Kari was picked as the "MVP" for ASU's cross country team this year! Way to go Kari!... She is slowly reaching her college running goals and that is always fun to watch. Finally, Hadlee turned 1 year old on Saturday... what a fun day. She is such a blessing and joy to everyone around. She completly demolished her cake and we ended up giving her a bath with her clothes on! She sure will keep us young that is for sure.

So Lets Get This Started!

So, I have heard over and over again about "BLOGS".... I am like yeah right, I am toooooo busy for that. Well, guess what??? I am going to give into peer pressure and give it a try. I am awful at keeping in touch with loved ones and old friends and this just might be the way to do it! As time seems to be passing me by faster and faster each year (that just might be because I am getting older and older) this just might be my way of getting back in touch with friends and family that I have neglected over the years. So ...... LETS GET THIS STARTED!!!
